Show and Go Events

On this page you’ll find a schedule of, and links to details concerning, “Show and Go” rides we invent, learn about from others, or strong arm someone to lead. These are fee-free events; the only stipulation we make is that if you’re planning to attend one you, as a courtesy to whoever’s in charge, RSVP so they’ll know you’re coming. 

GUNGA (Get Up’N Go Adventures) Test Drives

The purposes of these “Test Drives” are to expose CRW members who stumble upon them to the GUNGA format and, at the same time, for the ride leaders to perfect their administrative procedures prior to the “official” opening of the season on 12 September. All the TD’s  will, therefore, be run under Fall Rules, namely ...

* Pre-registration required ... contact lee.evans@verizon.net by 5 PM of the day before the ride

* Group size limited to fifteen ... If a ride is oversubscribed, CRW members get preference

All four rides start at 10 AM from Bedford’s Depot Park, back by noon. Click here for directions.

Tuesday 23 August - Circumnavigate Hanscom Field, 13-ish civilized miles, but mostly “not on” road

Thursday 25 August - Ride through or past about a dozen conservation areas in Lexington, Lincoln, Concord, and Bedford, minimizing road use as much as possible, 20-ish miles

Tuesday 06 September - Repeat the 23rd ride

Thursday 08 September - Repeat the 25th ride
