Lincoln's Pierce House

As always, the very best bet to is relieve us of all responsibility for getting you there by checking suburban road maps, asking Mapquest, or punching the address at the bottom of this page into your GPS street-finder. You've a leg up on things, however, if you know how to find the DeCordova Museum. Pierce House is about a half mile away.

From Route 128/95

Take the Trapelo Road exit (Exit 28) west toward Lincoln. Drive Trapelo Road an uninterrupted distance of several miles to the first stop sign, which occurs at its intersection with Bedford/Lincoln Road. Turn left here, then immediately left again onto Weston Road; once on Weston Road you'll see a wide expanse of green (or perhaps white in winter) on your right and, at the far side of it, a fine old mansion, the Pierce House. Drive about 0.1 miles to the entrance, on the right (there's a sign), and continue to the parking area at the right rear of the House.

Note: If you're 128/95 averse, it's likely you know ways to get to Trapelo Road from northern starting points without risking the highway; Spring Street, Route 2A/Mass Avenue, and/or Route 2 will all work nicely.

From Wayland's Town Hall

Take Route 27 northwest to Route 126 (Concord Road), turn right on Route 126 and drive about 3.8 miles to its intersection with Route 117. Turn right on Route 117 and go about a half mile 'til the road forks, Lincoln Road bearing left-ish, Route 117 going right-ish; turn left onto Lincoln Road and drive it past the Town Hall to the multi-way intersection at Weston/Trapelo/Sandy Pond Roads. Turn right here onto Weston Road and drive a short distance to the Pierce House entrance, on the right.

From Weston's Town Hall

Take the Boston Post Road west to Concord Road, then climb Concord Road past the Campion Center and down a little way as it bears right, goes north toward Lincoln, and changes its name to Tower Road as it crosses from Weston to Lincoln. When Tower Road intersects Route 117 (South Great Road), turn left and go west on 117 about 0.6 miles until it forks, Codman Road branching to the right, 117 going left. Turn right onto Codman Road and continue about 0.4 miles to its intersection with Lincoln Road. Go right on Lincoln Road, continuing over the commuter rail tracks and past the Town Hall Hall to the multi-way intersection at Weston/Trapelo/Sandy Pond Roads. Turn right here onto Weston Road and drive a short distance to the Pierce House entrance, on the right.
