The perfect place for a party! The key to getting there is to find the quickest way from your starting location to Burlington Mall Road, which connects the Middlesex Turnpike and Route 3A (and in doing so passes both the Mall and the Lahey Clinic), and then from Mall Road to Lexington Street. From there it's a short hop to Vicki’s House. Here's what we suggest but, as always, your best bet is probably to rely on MapQuest or a GPS Streetfinder.

From Route 128/95 (via Route 3A)

Take Exit 33B toward Burlington/Burlington Mall Road. If coming from north of Burlington, when the exit ramp ends at a set of lights, drive straight across to Mall Road; from the south, duck back under Route 128 to the lights, then turn left onto Mall Road. Once on the Road, continue about 0.6 miles to South Bedford Street, and turn right on it (if you miss the S. Bedford Street shortcut, keep going; Lexington Street's the next right). Descend to Lexington Street and turn right on it too. Drive Lexington Street 0.5 miles to Marrett Road, turn left onto it, and start looking for a place to park; PP-2 is just a short way down Marrett.

From Route 128/95 (via the Middlesex Turnpike)

Take Exit 32B toward Burlington/Middlesex Turnpike. Once on the Turnpike drive a half mile, through a multiplicity of stop lights, to the set of lights at Mall Road. Turn right onto Mall Road and continue to Lexington Street (second set of lights). Turn left onto Lexington Street. Drive 0.9 miles to Marrett Road, turn left, and you’re essentially at Vicki’s House. Park as near it as you can.

Another dodge

Lexington Street can also be acquired from its non-Mall end, where it intersects Bedford Road not far from Burlington Common and Route 3A/Cambridge Street. From this intersection it's almost exactly 0.7 miles to Marrett Road, which will appear on the right. Turn right and you’re within spitting distance of PP-2. This dodge will be second nature to Burlington residents; for many of them it's the route of choice for getting to the Mall. Everyone else can take advantage of it too; here's how:

• Take Route 62/Bedford Street from the Middlesex Turnpike, drive 1.8 miles to Lexington Street and turn right on it. DON'T go left when, at about 0.6 miles, Route 62 does (and becomes Francis Wyman Road); stay on Bedford Street
• Or, take Route 62/Francis Wyman Road from Route 3A/Cambridge Street and drive 1.5 miles to its T-intersection with Bedford Street. Turn left and drive 1.2 miles to Lexington Street, and turn right on it.
