Marshalls Parking Lot

Directions to

Parking for Marshalls Department Store

Hidden in the Bedford Shopping Center behind a complex of roadside store fronts including Brueggers, Cafe Luigi, and Bedford's Post Office, Marshall's is served by a large and, to its left, largely unoccupied parking lot. This lot offers almost immediate access to the Narrow Gage Rail Trail, a thoroughfare passing through or near several of the Town's more interesting conservation areas. For veterans of our Depot Park starts, getting there should induce a sense of deja vu; the two are only about a quarter mile apart. To get there we, of course, recommend you either consult a suburban atlas or MapQuest for the best route or, if you're a confirmed risk taker, try this:

From Route 128/95

Exit at 31B and merge onto Route 225 toward Bedford. Drive west about two miles on Route 4/225 (becomes the Great Road) through the lights at Hartwell Avenue, Shawsheen Road, the Great Road Shopping Center (home of Stop and Shop), and Loomis Street to those at the Bedford Shopping Center. Turn right into the shopping center; you'll find yourself aimed directly at Whole Foods and, to its left, Marshalls.  Find your way into the (usually) mostly empty lot on the open side of Marshalls and park.

Alternatives to Route 128

From Burlington or Concord, take Route 62 to downtown Bedford.  Once it reaches Bedford from these origination points, Route 62 intersects the Great Road (Route 4/225) at different points; coming from either Concord or from Burlington turn right when you reach 4/225 and drive west 0.3 miles (Burlington) or east 0.6 (Concord) to the lights at the Bedford Shopping Center. Turn right here (Burlington) or left (Concord), as appropriate, drive into the Center and find your way to the starting point as above.

From Lexington, take Bedford Street over 128 and follow the "From 128/95" directions.

From Westford and other points west

Drive Route 225 east through the Carlisle rotary and over the Concord River to its junction with Route 4 in Bedford. At 9:00 in the morning there may still be a delay at this intersection as Route 4 commuters from Chelmsford and Billerica, attempting to circumvent Route 3, merge with those from Carlisle. Plan on a few minutes extra just in case. Follow the combined Routes 4 and 225 east (staying left when Route 62 joins this highway potpourri) through the stop light at South Road to the one serving the Bedford Shopping Center. Go left here and look for us in the (hopefully) wide open lot to the left of Marshalls.

!!! Good Luck !!!
