Wilmington Library Overflow Parking

Wilmington's Library is a handy jumping off spot for rides looping into the Andovers and Tewksbury; while the Library itself is located on Route 62/Middlesex Avenue the trustees, in keeping with their assessment of the Town's appetite for learning, have provided an overflow parking lot. It's entrance is behind the Library, just off Wildwood Street. Wildwood, because it borders a cemetery of the same name, is easy to find.

To get there:

From Route 128/95, from locations south of Route 38

Take Exit 35 (Route 38 toward Woburn/Wilmington); this drops you into a roundabout (rotary). Go around the rotary toward Wilmington (north), back under 128/95, to the exit for Route 38. Once on Route 38, drive 3.9 miles to the lights at Route 62/Church Street, and turn right onto Route 62. Drive another 0.9 miles to Wildwood Street, which appears on the right shortly after the High School and a Baptist Church. Turn right on Wildwood and drive 0.1 miles or less and turn right into the overflow parking lot.

This is estimated to take 10 minutes or less.

From Route 128/95, from locations north of Route 38

Same as above, but no need to duck under 128/95, just take the Route 38 exit; it comes up right away as you come down off the highway.

From Burlington, Bedford, and maybe Lexington

Especially from Burlington, but also from other locations if 128/95 north is having a particularly bad day, the dodge-around is simply to take Route 62 into Wilmington and, when it crosses Route 38, continue 0.9 miles to Wildwood Street and the overflow lot.

From Route 93

It's also possible, although generally longer, to come at the Overflow Lot from Route 93. To do this take 93 north from 128/95, get off at Route 62, drive toward Wilmington and, immediately after passing Wildwood Cemetery (it'll be on the left), turn left onto Wildwood Street. From 128/95 to Wildwood Street is about 8.4 miles.
