 Parking for Sudbury's Lower Featherland Park

Featherland Farm, once a thriving source of provender for man and beast, is memorialized today in the name of the Park now situated where corn once grew and livestock grazed. Home of the Sudbury Little League, Featherland now provides nourishment of a different sort. Located on Concord Road a mile north of "downtown" Sudbury and a little south of Lincoln-Sudbury High School, it's a good jumping-off spot from which to explore the maze of secluded country lanes along the Town's western border.

As always, we recommend you consult a good suburban atlas or a directions-generating website such as MapQuest for the best way to get to Lower Featherland Park from your starting point (Note: the park has two parking areas; an always crowded Upper and the seldom used Lower).  Don't have time for this? Then take a chance on the directions below:

From Route 128/95

Drive 128/95 to Route 2 (Exit 29B) and go west on Route 2 approximately 5.6 miles to the lights at Sudbury Road. Turn left on Sudbury Road and go south (as Sudbury Road undergoes a name change and becomes Concord Road) another 5.6 or 5.7 miles, past Lincoln-Sudbury High to Lower Featherland Park on the right. Enter the Park directly from Concord Road. MapQuest estimates a 21 minute driving time from Route 128 for those taking this route.

An alternative for 128-averse drivers from the north

Take Route 62 to Concord and, when the road forks at the library, go left, over the railroad tracks and Route 2, to Sudbury Road. Proceed from there as above. This route risks traffic delays in Bedford, Concord, and getting across Route 2.

From Route 20

Drive Route 20 to Wayland Center, then turn right onto the combined Routes 27 and 126. Continue on Route 27 when, almost immediately 126 forks right. Stay on Route 27 to the lights in Sudbury Center where, at the Town Hall, Concord Road goes off to the right. Turn right on Concord Road and follow it about a mile to Lower Featherland Park on the left.

This is neither the most direct nor the most scenic way, but it's probably the easiest. MapQuest will direct you to take Water Row from Route 27 and drive it to Newbridge Street, then Newbridge to Concord Road, popping out within spitting distance of Lower Featherland Park.
