Weston's Recreation Center/Community Center

The Community Center is easy to reach even, we hope, during the evening commute. When open it offers rest rooms and a place to change into, or out of, cycling clothes. It's also a central location from which to explore Weston, Wellesley, Wayland, and Sudbury by bike. To get to it either ask MapQuest or your Street Finder for driving directions, consult a suburban atlas, or take a chance on the following:

From Route 128/95

Drive Route 128/95 to Exit 26 (Route 20), get off going west toward Weston and Wayland, and drive a little over a mile to the lights at School Street. Turn left, drive something like 0.3 miles to Alphabet Lane (the first right after the lights), turn right onto it, drop down past the Country School on the right and then, when Alphabet Lane T's the school's access road at a stop sign, go left and climb a hundred meters or so to the Community Center. Parking is on the left; if this lot is full (rarely happens) something's always available at the nearby library.

From Wayland, Sudbury, and points north of Route 20

Find Route 20 and drive it to the lights at School Street in Weston.  Go south (right turn if you're coming from Sudbury or Wayland) on School Street and then right again on Alphabet Lane (the first right after the lights), drop it down past the Country School on the right and then, at the stop sign where Alphabet Lane intersects the school's access road, go left and climb a hundred meters or so to the Community Center.

From Wellesley and points south of Route 20

Drive north on either Wellesley Street to its intersection with School Street or on the Cliff Road-Oak Street-Ash Street combination until it dead ends at Newton Road, within a few meters of Wellesley Street. In either case, the next step is to make a left turn and drive 0.3 miles from Ash Street or 0.2 miles from Wellesley Street to Alphabet Lane, staying left on School Street when the road forks and Wellesley Street goes off to the right. Turn left on Alphabet Lane, pass by the Country School (on the right), turn left when you run out of road, a climb a short distance to the Community Center.
