Directions to The Acton Arboretum
The Arboretum is, in addition to a centrally located parking area from which to begin rides, an intriguing microcosm of meadow, highlands, and marshes, groomed and maintained in some places, wild in others, all tied together by an extensive a network of trails and boardwalks. Situated across Route 27 (Main Street) from and about a block south of Acton's Town Hall, it's not hard to find. But, as always, we urge you not to rely on our attempts at one, but to map out a foolproof itinerary of your own as a crosscheck. By the way, the Arboretum is shown on our street atlas as a big green blob called, who knows why, the "Center Park Conservation Area."
From Route 128/95
Take Route 2 west from Route 128/95 (Exit 29B) and drive it about 6.8 miles to the rotary at the Concord Reformatory, then another 2.3 miles west to the lights at Taylor Road. Turn right here, and climb Taylor Road about 0.75 miles to the Arboretum. It'll be on the right.
!!! Good Luck !!!
